Great for USC students because you can bring your laptop and do school work (or go on Facebook...) while you wait. There are vending machines, a spacious & clean waiting area with tables and chairs, and wi-fi! The staff is very friendly and great with communication. They didn't try to sell me additional services that I didn't need, like most places do. Price was also decent.

John helped me out with excellent service. He returned my emails the same day (very rare that a tire shop would appreciate email/web customer service). He gave me a service quote over email the same day. Pricing was very competitive. Tires came in as promised. Service was done as promised with 1.5hrs. Tires are great with absolutely no issues. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED from a demanding customer.

I just moved to LA and was welcomed with a nail in my back tire. Bummer. But... not all was lost because my back tires were very low on tread AND I found these guys. They were great and cheap! They special ordered my tires, called me two days later when they arrived, and I waited a total of one hour for the install. Plus they have a waiting area with TV and internet so I got some work done while I waited. Pretty soon I will need to replace my front tires and I will definitely be back.

I went there a couple months ago to get some Falken Azenis for my Honda. There were one of the lowest prices in town, they were able to get them the same day!

Changed rear tires and they moved the new tires to the front without extra charge; changed engine oil and they helped check the transmission fluid and coolant for free. All services and parts are in fare prices. People are nice.

These guys are awesome. Courteous, professional, clean, and very u-front. I've brought my car in for a series of small and mid-sized things over the last two years, from regular tune-ups to some replacement of parts on my aging VW, and I have always been more than satisfied with the level of service and the price.

I do the alignment in this place. The receptionist is very friendly and they have a very good customer room where you can watch. They also provide wifi. It's only $60 which is $30 cheaper than in the Honda dealership.

I'd like to thank John for taking great care of my Isuzu. I had a not-so-great experience my first time here, but the power of urgency and the power of Yelp reviews brought me back. I was quoted a very large amount for a fuel pump & assembly (parts and labor) at another shop in town and called around to get some quotes from competitors. Given that my experience here was so unique I thought giving them another shot would be a good idea. Moses got me in contact with John, the manager, and he gave me a quote that was almost 50% less than my first quote. He was charging less for parts and less for labor. This means a lot for my family. I brought it in and John was helpful the whole way through. With follow-up calls and even with being patient as I wasn't much able to answer any of the calls in a timely manner. The end result? The fuel pump is replaced and working well, and the new part even fixed a broken gas gauge (the sensor had likely gone out already in the old part). Next on the list? I wonder if John can fix a broken speedometer. It'd be nice to know how fast I'm going. Well, I am waiting for that classic line from the cop: "Do you know how fast you were going?" To which my response will be: "Honestly? I have no idea."

Made an appointment this morning to get a much needed oil change and tire rotation. Got there a little late and drove in but didn't want to park in the lot quite yet as I was scoping out how their system worked on getting serviced. I flagged down a mechanic crossing the lot and my path, on his way to work, and he asked what I was getting done then told me to park behind a certain car. "That man was so nice" I think to myself. So the first impression of the place was off to a good start and the goodness continued to follow-through and impress me throughout my time here. When I stepped out, I got confused because there's a table outside and it's beside the body shop office+waiting room. The table outside is for maintenance repairs I now know. Sensing my confusion of where to be helped - yet again - Moses approaches me and asks if I need help. I tell him I have an 11 am appointment and he remembered my name from the phone and said he was glad I made it. Moses was super-duper courteous over the phone and in person. It costs about $50 total, but I had a Google Offer. The amazing thing was that I didn't realize I was redeeming the offer too early until I looked at my printout in their comfy little waiting room. So I rushed out and asked if I had to come back, and they were totally okay with it. I was so, so glad and grateful because my car has been squeaking for an oil change for quite some time! I know the squeaking was not from the brake pads because it squeaked last year and my lovely Dad changed it and it stopped squeaking just before my drive from Texas to California. After driving for a few months on these mean L.A. streets n' highways it began to squeal and grumble and the tires needed some evening out or they were gonna wear out sooner than they have to. I had to stop twice the past month to pump air into my front left tire I'm guessing from being uneven, thereby applying uneven wear/pressure to my left front tire. Sears had a $20 oil change sign and I almost went there because I saw it say "FREE ALIGNMENT"...but when I drove closer in the corner was a small word: "check". I like to support local businesses over large chains like Sears when I can, as often as I can. So glad I came to University Tire Center, instead! My car is in such great condition to drive and cost me only $26...what a difference in my driving experience that $26 has made! I didn't need an alignment yet - I thought I did, but I figure I should just rotate my tires and get my oil changed first and see how it runs. They didn't try to pester me with up-sells (even though I'm clearly a woman). My steering wheel is accurate now; it used to veer left (super annoying!) before I took it in to these car-doctors. They just did the work my car needed, and did it quickly and so wonderfully! UTC didn't hold out on me...and they exceeded my expectations! Truly awesome! They gave me a postage-paid mail-in survey and told me if I mail it in, UTC will send me a $10 off coupon for my next service. And! they gave me a free key-loop...clip...thingie....Great labor, great service, great people, n' I'm now oh-so-great-to-go on these mean LA streets again.

Well...this is embarrassing, but I had no idea University Tire existed until today, and I live a block away...LOL. But YAY for its existence and YAY for its convenient location for SC students! Two reasons to bring my car in today: 1) I just hit the 5000-mile mark, and the maintenance required light came on. 2) I'm taking my baby on her first road trip to NorCal later today, and I wanted to make she she's ready to go. I dropped my car off around lunchtime, and John helpfully told me it would take around an hour and a half after jokingly jabbing at me for waiting until the day of my road trip to get my car checked (I deserved that one). An hour and a half later, I get a call from Moses letting me know that my car is ready! YAY - got an oil change + courtesy check + peace of mind for my road trip for about $35. Cheap and pain-free =)
