This place was awesome. I had my car towed there for a tire repair and they helped me right away. They were honest and affordable and had my car ready that same day. I will definitely be taking my car there for repairs and maintenance from now on.

After shredding one of my tires on a six-inch nail somewhere in Koreatown and hobbling in my car down Vermont at about six inches per hour, my car managed to make it into here. I was instantly quoted a $75 replacement tire and they had it done for me on the spot in about 15 minutes. I've had great experiences here so far so I'm not sure what some of the other people who've reviewed this place are griping about. Tire rotations and oil changes cost about $25 if I remember correctly, and this place is right next to USC. You can bring your car in, longboard back to campus for class, and come back later to pick your car up with no trouble at all. My definite go-to auto repair shop when I'm at school.

Great value for money! Service engine light has been on for...hmm...8 months. I elegantly ignored it, telling myself that someday I'll have time to take my car to the shop and then take 2 buses to campus, then 2 buses back to get it, not to mention getting up really early and all that crap that's never gonna happen. Then a friend told me about university tire center. Being a USC student, it meant not having to take any additional transportation. It's within walking distance. The place caters to students, so the prices are low and you absolutely can bring your car in in the very late morning and still get same day service. In my case, the car had to stay overnight until the new thermostat arrives (am I glad I brought it in finally...), so they gave me a loaner car, free of charge except gas. Moises at the front desk was super friendly and helpful and the car was ready earlier than expected. Price check: oil change 33$, alignment 65$, engine diagnostics 85$. My only complaint is that they filled up some coolant and charged me 24$ for it. Had they asked - I had a gallon in the trunk. But that's really small change compared to the rest, so I didn't knock off any stars.

Great pricing on tires to replace on my minivan. When my other commuter car broke down on the freeway I had it towed here, they did a great job to repair it and check all the usual maintenance items. John, the manager, is always friendly and helpful. Free wifi too when you are in the waiting room so you can bring your laptops, phones, etc. Highly recommend.

My car was suffering from a suspension problem, and needed immediate help. I had it towed to them first thing Tuesday morning, and they checked it out while I was at work. They picked me up at the end of the day and went over the damages item by item with me. In addition to the suspension and resulting tire damage, they highly recommended that I replace the serpentine belt (cracked with age) and engine valve cover (leaking). I had been to see a mechanic earlier in the month for issues related to both, and they didn't catch that. What gets them 5 stars? They gave me a complementary car to get home to valley and to work the next day. A big deal for someone who isn't old enough to actually rent a car. My car was fixed by the end of the next day at the estimate cost. Thanks, University Tire!

My son brought is '95 Honda Civic here with some major engine issues which turned into a leaking head gasket which led to much more damage as he continued to drive it. It took us a while to discuss repair options since I was paying for the repair and I'm no where near USC plus my son's class schedule was very busy. John was very patient while we worked it all out and gave the OK for repairs. The repair went well but a few weeks after, the engine developed an issue that needed a bit more work. John was very responsive and responsible with the warranty work to bring the car back to 100%. Highly recommend University Tire Center!

I work at USC and just discovered this place a few months ago... it's a long commute to work from OC so I'm due for oil changes often and this place is perfect. I usually drop by car off in the AM and walk the few blocks to work then pick it up at the end of the day or on my lunch break. Honest guys with fair prices. Just got all my tires changed here, and I like that they are not too pushy on making you get things fixed same day. They told me new tires were needed soon and were cool with me bringing it back in a few weeks... i hate when the dealerships make you think its unsafe to leave w/o getting what they suggest ASAP. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

These guys are the best. I used to get my car maintained by a shop in Culver city, and things were okay. But at some point, I switched to University Tire, and suddenly, my car was behaving a lot better. Every time I get maintenance work done here, I can feel a difference in my car. Also, they are prompt and efficient. I've never been forced into buying things I dont need.
