When my brain thinks 'tire salesman,' honest and friendly are not the words that usually pop into my head first. Given that, I was amazingly and pleasantly surprised by how wonderful University Tire Center is. Especially because it's not located in a neighborhood known for customer service. Busting two tires less than three weeks apart is no fun at all. John made it better. Tire #1, which succumbed to a pothole, was replaced in less than 30 minutes while I waited. I didn't even call ahead or make an appointment. And the price? Awesome. Tire #2, which was stabbed by a piece of metal some evil person put in the road, was patched up in about 20 minutes while I waited. Again, no appointment and the price was so good that for a second I was afraid I had only been quoted the tax on the real amount. John not only remembered me from the first visit but was helpful and super nice and calm. He even got a guy to come out and give me an estimate on the spot for the cost of a paint touch up for scratches on my poor baby's fender.

They were super friendly and the pricing was good. It's close to USC, which makes it very convenient for me. Will go back for my next oil change.

These guys are fast, friendly, and cheap. I blew a flat and called 4-5 different places who only offered new tires; which I did not need because none of my other tires were new, and I didn't want to buy two;-) University quoted me $25 installed for a used tire. It took 45 minutes, and they replaced it with a used Michelin, matching my other three tires in tread wear. Very cool place. They also quoted me a fair price for 4 new tires when I do get them replaced.

I was looking for a good place to have an alignment and to have my wheels balance and I decided to come. I spoke with John the manager and he was straight forward and a really good guy. He really helped me out. Its hard to find a place that is really honest and to have somebody who is not going to rip you off. Thanks John and UNIVERSITY TIRES. THUMBS UP!

$28 (including tax) for an oil change in about half an hour. $140 for two new tires in 45 minutes. Nice, simple air-conditioned waiting room. 1 minute from my place. I like!

I had a really great experience here today. My "maintenance required" light was on, and while I thought I just needed an oil change, I wondered if they would try to convince me I needed some other "services," like so many mechanics do. Nope! They just changed the oil, topped off all my fluids, checked the pressure in my tires and told me I was all set. John was great, and made me feel at ease about trusting them with my car. I paid $28 bucks and drove away happy.

Came here to get my flat tire repaired on my Lexus. It was only an hour before they closed. They took care of me without any hesitation. Cheap and quick service. Highly recommended.

I own a car that is more expensive than its worth, between tires and oil changed to tune ups, its plain ridiculous. However, John the owner of this business helped me and was so genuine about it. I called 5 different places before this place and this was the furthest place from me but I felt comfortable from hello. I got there and the owner took care of me and charged me even less than he quoted me. I'm so happy I went here, I just found a new mechanic at a reasonable price!
