This the second time I have been very dissatisfied with service here, and I will never be coming back and will actively dissuade anyone I know from coming here. The first time was to diagnose a tire which was losing 5 PSI a day for over a week. They claimed it was fine after dunking the wheel in water; the wheel was actually bent and the tire was not seated properly which I found out because another shop took the time to actually take the tire off and do a full inspection. The second time was yesterday when I came in to have a nail removed. I was reluctant to return due to my poor experience last time but they quoted me the least expensive price for a puncture repair (which is a free service at America’s Tire, LA is literally the only place where every shop charges for it). What was supposed to be a routine job turned into leaving my car there overnight because they punched a hole in the sidewall of the same tire they were trying to fix and then didn’t have my size in stock for a spare (claiming that a 19 inch tire was rare). This was a massive inconvenience because I had an appointment I needed my car for the next morning and had errands to run. They overnighted the tire, but then said I’d still have to pay the $44 for the tire repair (which they never actually did because they punched a hole in the sidewall of the tire). When I argued my case that I should not have to pay for a service that wasn’t done and an error that was their fault, they said that it was actually an inconvenience for them and I should be satisfied that they are covering the tire cost. That is literally the point of your service. I am the customer and replacing my tire because of an error YOU made is the bare minimum of your service. They also do not offer a military or student discount. They eventually caved in and let me pick up my car free of charge, but the fact they even tried to claim “inconvenience” for an error they made and used the excuse that “mistakes happen” is ridiculous. Do not come here.
